Map

February 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A curvilinear ditch is visible as a soilmark on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the east of Swangey Lane, Rocklands.
The ditch runs northeast-southwest from TM 0040 9489 to TM 0044 9493 before turning through 90 degrees and continuing southeast-northwest as far as TM 0051 9488.
It is very broad and blurred in nature, and only visible on one set of photographs, unfortunately without a stereo pair, and has therefore been recorded with a note of caution.
It does not respect any of the field boundaries visible on historic maps, and may, therefore, represent an earlier feature, but it is difficult to offer any firm dating hypothesis.
E. Bales (NMP), 12 February 2010.
