Map

November 2009. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of field boundaries of medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 2965 0274. The site consists of a field boundaries which probably broadly post medieval, or late medieval to post medieval, in date, appear to pre-date the post medieval field pattern depicted on the 1839 Yelverton Tithe map (S3). Additional cropmarks relating to post medieval field boundaries depicted on the 1839 Yelverton Tithe map (S3) have not been included within the NMP mapping.
S. Horlock (NMP), 03 November 2009.

April 2014. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of proposed development site.
The two northernmost cropmarks in this group both fell within the two areas examined.
One of the linear anomalies identified clearly corresponded with the north-to-south aligned cropmark recorded at TG 2987 0292 (which coincides with the Holverston/Yelverton parish boundary).
There was though no evidence for surviving sub-surface remains associated with the north-north-west to south-south-east aligned cropmark mapped at TG 2951 0290.
See NHERs 68454 and 68455 for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 21 August 2024.

June 2014. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site.
A trench positioned to coincide with the north-to-south aligned cropmark at TG 2987 0292 identified a corresponding ditch, although no dating evidence was recovered.
See NHER 68455 for further details.
