Full Description
December 2009. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of a possible archaeological origin were identified on aerial photographs at this location, but were dismissed as most likely derived from underlying geological features (S1-S3). The site is centred on TG 2673 01454. However due to some uncertainty over this conclusion it may be worth recording their possible presence with regards to decisions over any future development of the site.
S. Horlock (NMP), 29 December 2009.
February 2011. Trial Trenching.
Evaluation of proposed development site.
Possible medieval and post medieval enclosures recorded. Prehistoric pot-boiler material and features and a possible Roman farmstead were also encountered.
See report (S3) and NHER 58020 for further details.
E. Bales (HES), 17 September 2012. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 9 September 2015.
