Map

December 2009. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of a large area of post medieval, or medieval to post medieval, boundaries are visible as cropmarks to the west and east of Brickle Road, in the Stoke Holy Cross and Poringland parishes (S1-S2). The site is centred on TG 2558 0121. These cropmarks show a more detailed field layout than that depicted on the 1838 West Poringland Tithe map (S3) and the 1844 Stoke Holy Cross Tithe map (S4), including possible enclosures in the area of TG 2597 0111, but these were not mapped as it would not have added a great deal of archaeologically significant information. This note serves as a record of the relevant aerial photograph sources if such information is required for future work or research.
S. Horlock (NMP), 29 December 2009.
