Map

May-June 2001. Metal detecting A11 improvement scheme.
A number of post-medieval finds including two musket balls, a buckle, a coin, a stud and a pair of ornate scissors that could be a toy or decorative piece and buckle were recovered from this area.
See reports (S1) and (S2).
S. Howard (NLA), 24 March 2010.

June 2001. Watching brief A11 improvement scheme Area D.
The remains of a palisade bank and ditch and numerous post holes of unknown date were revealed along with some flint flakes and burnt flint. The lack of pottery from this site could suggest that it is prehistoric in date but without clear dating evidence this cannot be better defined.
See report (S2).
S. Howard (NLA), 25 March 2010.
