Summary

The vegetation marks of possible post medieval garden features are visible on aerial photographs on the lawns of Caistor Hall (NHER 9817). The site consists of series of angular and rectilinear vegetation marks and parchmarks on the lawns of Caistor Hall. These would appear to follow the dominant alignment of the landscaping associated with the Hall and are therefore likely to represent post medieval garden features, although given the amount of Roman activity and settlement known within the grounds of Caistor Hall it is feasible that they relate to earlier activity.
