Summary

A rectilinear pattern of a bank (or track) and ditches, of unknown date and function, is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The orientation of the features is at odds with that of the modern field pattern, and with that depicted on historic maps, suggesting that it might relate to an earlier pattern of land division. However, the character of the cropmarks does not suggest they are of any great antiquity, and the possibility remains that they are instead modern features, perhaps related to the drainage of the field or the adjacent golf course to the north.
