Full Description
May 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A mound or platform and undated linear bank, both of unknown date, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2), centred at TG 2437 0662. They are situated on the floodplain of the River Yare. Their function, like their date, is not known, and their archaeological significance is uncertain. The linear bank fits the surrounding pattern of enclosure and drainage, and may be a post medieval land division.
The mound is oval in plan and measures 24m long and 19.5m wide.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 4 May 2010.
