Map

April 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A fragment of an undated possible rectilinear enclosure and a curvilinear ditch are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S2) on land to the west of Quaker Farm, Horsham St Faith.
The possible enclosure is oriented northeast-southwest, and is visible as two fragmentary ditches at right-angles to each other which meet at TG 2296 1448. Multi-period finds were recovered from the area during fieldwalking (NHER 35668), including a possible Roman coin. It is possible that this feature dates to the Iron Age to Roman period, given that it shares an alignment with possible Iron Age to Roman field boundaries to the east (NHER 53493), but a medieval to post medieval date should not be ruled out.
E. Bales (NMP), April 2010.
