Map

April 2010. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of fragmentary ditches, which are likely to represent the remains of former field boundaries of possible Roman or Iron Age to Roman date, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). The site is centred on TG 1225 1851. Finds in the general vicinity include significant quantities of Roman material and to a lesser extent Iron Age material (NHER 33640 & 51584). It is possible that additional archaeological features are present in this area, but due to the high level of geological cropmarks visible on the aerial photographs, only a few of the most certain archaeological features were included within the mapping. Possible additional cropmarks may be visible on aerial photographs on Google Earth (S2). Due to time constraints these features were not mapped as part of the NMP project, but the images would warrant further inspection at a later date.
S. Horlock (NMP), 26 April 2010.
