Summary

At least four linear ditches, which are likely to date to the medieval to post medieval period, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs in the area to the north and south of Spixworth plantation. Those on a north northwest-south southeast alignment, however, may be earlier in date, as they share an alignment with the possible Roman road (NHER 52126), approximately 200m to the west.
