Full Description
April 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Several structures, built towards the second half of the World War Two, are visible on aerial photographs (S2-S6) to the west of Spixworth Road, Old Catton, centred on TG 2333 1262. They are not visible in 1941 (S1), but have appeared by 1942 (S2), and appear to represent operational or communal buildings serving RAF Horsham St Faith airfield (NHER 8137), such as the mess. Several above ground shelters are visible within the area, as well as nissen huts and structures with blast walls.
E. Bales (NMP), April 2010.
