An area of at least eight World War Two industrial underground air raid shelters is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S4) on land to the west of Middleton’s Lane, Hellesdon, centred on TG 2031 1215. They are visible as two rows of four earthwork mounds and are still visible in 1953 (S5).
