Full Description
April 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A small (4m by 2.5m) rectangular structure, which may represent the site of a World War Two ARP post, is visible on aerial photographs (S1) on the corner of Warren Avenue and Heather Avenue, Hellesdon, immediately to the east of a possible emergency water tank (NHER 53559). It is situated at TG 2153 1192, and may also have fulfilled a function as an air raid shelter, although is not as large or substantial in appearance as the above ground shelter identified approximately 40m to the east (NHER 53504).
E. Bales (NMP), April 2010.
