Full Description
April 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A small rectangular structure (4.2m by 3m), which may represent the site of World War Two ARP post K2 (S3), is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) on Shorncliff Avenue, Norwich, at TG 2198 1039. The structure may also have fulfilled a function as an air raid shelter, although it is not as large or substantial in appearance as the above ground shelters in the vicinity (NHER 53504). It is almost exactly the same size as another possible ARP post 400m to the west (NHER 53572), although it exhibits a possible concrete blast wall to its southern end, which was not visible at NHER 53572.
E. Bales (NMP), April 2010.
