A circular World War Two emergency water tank is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3) at the junction of Middleton’s Lane and Woodland Road, Hellesdon. It measures 8m in external diameter and is centred on TG 2031 1198. It is equal in size to several other similar structures (NHER 53527, 53530, 53533, 53535, 53536, 53537, 53538, 53539, 53543 and 53566), and slightly smaller than four others in the area (NHER 53528, 53538, 53559, 53565). It is still visible in 1947 (S3).
