Summary

Externally, Gingerbread Cottage appears to be a 19th century flint and brick house with modern rebuilding and an extension to the rear. However, the internal cross wall is oak timber framed on the first floor and several chamfered beams in the ceiling of the ground floor suggests it was constructed in the 17th century.
