Full Description
May 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A possible linear trackway is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1), to the south of Spixworth Road, Horsham St Faith and Newton St Faith.
The possible trackway consists of a linear bank, 5.4m wide, running southwest-northeast from TG 2283 1483 to TG 2298 1523.
It is on a similar alignment to the linear trackway recorded as NHER 53605, 824m to the north east. A Roman coin was recovered in the vicinity (NHER 35673), and whilst this is not compelling evidence, it is possible to suggest that the feature is Roman in date, although it may equally date to the medieval to post medieval period.
E. Bales (NMP), May 2010.
