Full Description
June 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Several undated linear features and a possible fragment of an enclosure are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1-S3) on land to the south of Hill Top Farm, Horsford, centred on TG 2025 1511.
The majority of the linear features, including a possible trackway running from TG 2005 1518 to TG 2010 1522 are oriented southwest-northeast, in a similar way to the possible Iron Age to Roman field boundaries (NHER 52342) and possible trackway (NHER 53241) to the north and south.
The possible enclosure consists of an L-shaped ditch which may simply be a continuation of the field boundary visible to the west, and is therefore likely to date to the medieval to post-medieval period.
E. Bales (NMP), June 2010.
