Full Description
June 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two ARP warden’s post – Post G4 Milford Road – is recorded at this location in a bibliographic source (S1). This probably equates to one or more of the small structures visible here on 1940s aerial photographs (S2), centred at TG 2157 0829. These consist of a small rectangular concrete structure similar to those recorded at the location of other ARP posts across the city, and an elongated structure or group of structures to its north; the latter might also have been used by ARP wardens, or could represent a public air raid shelter.
S. Tremlett (NMP), 15 June 2010.
