Summary

The cropmarks of undated ditches and former field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Easton. The site consists of a series of fragmentary ditches, which are likely to represent the remains of field boundaries. Although it must be noted that there were a number of linear and curvilinear geological cropmarks in the vicinity, that made the confident identification of archaeological features problematic. Although the ditches are of unknown date, it is possible that they are later prehistoric date, as finds of a Neolithic to Bronze Age date have been recovered from the vicinity of the cropmarks (NHER 7808 & 19969 & 20015).
