Map

June 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A World War Two barrage balloon site is visible on 1940s aerial photographs (S1)-(S2), centred at TG 2138 0631. It is principally visible as the balloon itself, in flight in June 1942 (S2), but a possible structure and some sort of mound may also be visible. The approximate area of the site has been mapped although this is not clearly defined. The site was probably removed by 1944 (S3) and little trace is visible by 1945 (S4).
S. Tremlett (NMP), 21 June 2010.
