Cropmarks of undated ditches and a possible ring ditch are visible on aerial photographs .The features most likely relate to post medieval field boundaries visible on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6" map . The origin of the possible ring ditch is uncertain. It is possible that the feature could relate to the site of a Bronze Age barrow. However, the possibility that feature is natural in origin cannot be ruled out.

Map

June 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of undated ditches and a possible ring ditch, of uncertain archaeological origin, are visible on aerial photographs on Google Earth (S1). The site is centred on TG 1369 1857. Due to time constraints these features were not mapped as part of the NMP project, but the images would warrant further inspection at a later date. The possible ring ditch is located at approximately TG 1373 1867, but it may relate to underlying geology. Numerous cropmarks relating to former post medieval boundaries are also visible.
S. Horlock (NMP), 25 June 2010.

October 2025. HER Enhancement: Forestry Commission Project K.
The cropmarks of probable post medieval field boundaries (see above) are visible on Google Earth imagery from 1999 and 2006 (S2-S3). The features most likely relate to post medieval field boundaries visible on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6" map (S4). The origin of the possible ring ditch (discussed above) is uncertain. It is possible that the feature could relate to the site of a Bronze Age barrow. However, the possibility that feature is natural in origin also cannot be ruled out.
