Summary

A possible Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs. It lies in an area of dense prehistoric ceremonial/funerary activity and was probably an outlier to both the linear barrow cemetery 100m to its west (NHER 53202), and those surrounding Arminghall Henge 110m to its northwest (NHER 6100).

Full Description

June 2010. Norfolk NMP.
A possible Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2), centred at TG 2403 0586. The archaeological nature of the marks is not entirely certain, but given the context of the site, surrounded by a dense landscape of prehistoric ceremonial/funerary activity, it seems appropriate to record them.
The site is roughly circular in plan and measures approximately 21m in diameter.
