Summary

The site of World War Two trenches, weapons pits and other signs of recent disturbance assumed to relate to military activity is visible on aerial photographs to the west of Mousehold Heath. A number of possible military structures were also tentatively identified, although on comparison with other structures in the area it was felt that these may relate to benches or hardstanding for benches.
