Full Description
July 2010. Norfolk NMP.
The site of a possible World War Two road block and associated structure may be visible on aerial photographs on Kerrison Road, Norwich (S1). The potential site, which is centred on TG 2422 0784, consists of a light coloured linear mark across the road, with no definite structure being discerned. It is possible that this represents the remains of a former barrier and road block. A possible temporary structure, such as a tent, may also be visible at the southeastern end, although this is not certain due to the lack of clarity of the aerial photographs. This site cannot be clearly distinguished on any other available wartime photography.
S. Horlock (NMP), 05 July 2010.
