Summary

A World War Two air raid warden’s post is visible as an extant building on aerial photographs and is also recorded in a bibliographic source. The small rectangular concrete building, known as Post K7, stood outside the gates to Wensum Park, and is comparable to other such structures recorded across the city (NHER 53266, for example). No trace of the structure is visible on more recent aerial photographs of the area.

A World War Two air raid warden’s post is visible as an extant building on 1940s aerial photographs (S1)-(S2), centred at TG 2253 0983. The post is recorded by Banger (S3) as Post K7, which stood at ‘Wensum Park Gate, St Martin’s Road’. It is similar to other such structures recorded across the city (NHER 53266, for example). No trace of the structure is visible on more recent aerial photographs of the area.
