Map

Before July 2010. Casual observation.
During restoration work it was revealed that the eastern end of the building and possibly the middle bay dated from the Late 16th century. A number of features survived including the large central chimney stack, bridging beam with lambs tongue chamfered stops and the floor joists which were laid flat rather than vertical. The late 16th century roof was still mainly left in situ with 18th century additions. It was suggested by A. Longcroft that the building was likely to date to between 1580 and 1610.
