Summary

The site of World War Two air raid shelters and another structure is visible on aerial photographs within the grounds of Drayton Lodge, Drayton. A large oblong earthen-covered shelter with two entrances is located in front of the Lodge. Another possible elongated banked feature to the west may represent an additional shelter, but this was not certain. Another camouflaged structure is located alongside the driveway and this is likely to represent a surface shelter or similar structure.
