Summary

In May 2010 an aerial photograph assessment of Dumpling Green identified modern field drains but no archaeological features. It is not certain whether the absence of archaeological features was due to local soil and crop conditions and visibility of cropmarks in different seasons.

Assessment of proposed development site.
Map regression shows no buildings or occupation evidence on the site but indicates changes in the layout of fields. In the post-medieval period the site appears to have retained its rural character with residential development immediately to the north and west.
