Full Description
September 2008. Historic building recording.
The school is described in White's 1883 Directory of Norfolk as a National School erected in 1844 (S1). The school was later enlarged in 1908 for 114 children (S1). The school was originally a single-room one storey building and in 1908 the porch was removed, a large window was inserted under the raised gable and the main school room was lengthened. The construction is red brick with single black moulded engineering bricks on top of a low plinth and three rows of projecting bricks forming the cornice. Little remains of the 1844 building.
