June 2009. Historic building recording.
The school was erected in 1871 to accommodate 30 children (S1). The school comprises a single room open to the rafters with a toilet block and severy to the rear of the building. Photographs taken in 1935 show a wooden extension to the front of the building. The building is red brick built using Flemish bond with a slate roof and rubbed brick arches above the windows.
