Record made of barn ahead of its proposed conversion.
The Sheep Dip Barn complex is a range of agricultural buildings consisting of a main barn with attached structures, open fronted sheds to the east and west sides and three enclosed yards with boundary walls. The main building is constructed from local carrstone, brick and chalk lump solid walls, earth floors and timber pitched roof structure covered with clay pantiles. A date stone of '1837' on the barn is presumably the date of construction. The estate records show that Sheep Dip complex and surrounding farmland was purchased in 1862 by The Prince of Wales as part of the Dersingham Manor Farm acquisition.
