Full Description
August 2009. Historic building recording.
The school was built around 1845 with a third building added between 1900 and 1930 (S1). The school comprises three single storey buildings with one E-plan building containing two rooms that may contain the original 1846 structure, a second building with the main hall and further room probably dating to around 1880, and a modern extension built between 1920 and 1930 containing more than two rooms. The style of the buildings is functional with the modern extension having slightly unusual features such as large windows and semi-hipped roof. All of the building are constructed from red brick with slate roofs.
