Map

July 2010. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of blurred ditches and at least one bank, which may represent the possible Roman Road NHER 5244 are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S4) of Bowthorpe.
The blurred ditch features run roughly southwest-northeast from TG 1777 0951 to TG 1854 0977, roughly along the projected line of the Roman road, although it is difficult to date these cropmarks with any certainty. Further ditches are visible closer to the original projected line, and have been recorded as part of NHER 5244.
