Summary

The Earsham Church of England First School was opened in 1877 and was closed in 2009. In August 2010 a historic building survey was undertaken at the former Earsham Church of England First School.

Record made of redundant school building prior to its proposed conversion.
The building is a single storey Victorian school constructed from brick with a slate roof. The first reference to the building is a letter dated July 1871 from the education Department in Whitehall London to the Vicar of Earsham regarding the proposal to erect a school requesting the submission of plans. The building was started in summer 1876 and was opened in January 1877 for 25 boys, 25 girls and 50 infants. In September 2009 the school was closed.
