Summary

The war memorial was built by F.R.B. Haward and unveiled by Prince Henry on the 7th January 1922. The memorial is constructed of large blocks of white granite with some repairs in pink granite. The monument sustained damage during World War II which is visible on the northern and western faces.

Listing Description excerpt:
"The memorial is constructed of large blocks of white granite, with some repairs in pink granite, mostly in the steps to the central monument. The monument sustained damage during World War II, visible on the northern and western faces, which has been left unrepaired."
