Full Description
June 2010. Norfolk NMP.
The cropmarks of possible ditches of unknown date are visible on aerial photographs to the west of Breck Road, Weston Longville (S1). The site is centred on TG 1081 1406. The cropmarks are extremely faint and it is feasible that they are the result of agricultural activity in the field, although the possibility that they are archaeological could not be discounted.
S. Horlock (NMP), 04 June 2010.
November 2020-March 2021. Geophysical Survey.
Magnetometer survey of site on proposed route of Norwich Western Link.
This survey identified no evidence for sub-surface remains associated with the two southernmost cropmarks.
See report (S2) and NHER 66613 for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 25 February 2025.
May-July 2022. Trial Trenching.

This work also identified no evidence for surviving remains associated with the two southernmost cropmarks.
See report (S3) and NHER 66613 for further details.
P. Watkins (HES), 25 February 2025.
