Summary

The cropmarks of probable medieval to post medieval ditches, field boundaries are visible on aerial photographs to the south of Hallback Lane, Caistor St Edmund. A few minor fragments of these cropmarks are depicted as field boundary on the 1840 Caistor St Edmund Tithe map, although the majority would appear to pre-date this field layout, suggesting a medieval origin for the trackway and boundaries.
