Summary

The mid-19th century threshing barn known as The Great Barn is constructed from coursed and roughly knapped flints with brick dressings and a decorative brick eaves dentil course with a shallow pitched pantile roof. In March 2011 a programme of building recording was undertaken ahead of plans to convert the barn into a dwelling.

The mid-19th century threshing barn known as The Great Barn is constructed from coursed and roughly knapped flints with brick dressings and a decorative brick eaves dentil course with a shallowed pitched pantile roof. There are 5 bays with a single storey full width lean-to on the south elevation. There is a central waggon entrance on the north elevation. The barn was originally part of Shingham Farm to the south but was sold off in the 1970's with the stables and other outbuildings.
