NHER 54499 (Monument record) - Undated linear ditch cropmarks, possible trackway and pits

At least three linear ditch cropmarks, which may represent a possible trackway, along with undated pits to the south, are visible on aerial photographs on land to the north of Fison Way, Thetford.
The ditch cropmarks are visible running for approximately 830m north-south from TL 8638 8620 to TL 8635 8537.
The northern-most section is represented by three broad, blurred ditch cropmarks, situated approximately 10m apart, the central one of which continues for approximately 370m, and appears to continue in the field to the south. This central ditch would also appear to correlate with a ditch identified during a geophysical survey of the area (S5) (NHER 52658).
In the southern field, a narrow ditch is visible for approximately 100m, this then broadens out into a blurred ditch cropmark (up to approximately 10m in width) for the southern-most 270m. Approximately halfway along this broad ditch, an area of possible pits is visible, centred on TL 8638 8552, although these features may be geological, rather than archaeological in nature.
