Record made of redundant agricultural building ahead of its proposed conversion.
Yew Tree Farm complex is shown on the early 19th century tithe map. The barn adjacent to Yew Tree Cottage has two main phases of construction. The first phases is represented by the threshing barn which comprises a timber frame with flint and brick plinth. The second phase is a clay lump with brick plinth extension which provides ancillary rooms/pens. Internally the barn has a hayloft with pens below and two elm tie beams. Yew Tree Farmhouse is now two cottages which have both been heavily extended. The present barn and outbuilding are all that remains of the original large farm complex.
See report (S1) for further details.
