Full Description
October 2010. Building Recording.
Record made of former Sunday School building ahead of its propsed conversion to residential use.
The former Sunday School building was constructed in 1831 and is located on the site of an earlier school as indicated by the date stone with the inscription "Lady Hastings School - Founded AD 1738 - Rebuilt in AD 1831" which is incorporated into the current structure in the southern gable. There is some suggestion that the previous building was of timber construction but this cannot be confirmed. The building is to be converted into a dwelling.
See report (S1) for further details.
