Full Description
April-June 1998. Metal-detecting. [1].
Early Saxon square-headed brooch fragment and suspension loop from girdle hanger.
Middle/Late Saxon Irish-style ring-headed pin.
Medieval/post-medieval circular mount from processional cross.
Information from PAS import.
Previously recorded as NHER 64098.
These finds are all associated with the same ten-figure grid reference ([2]) but it appears this probably doesn't reflect the true findspot(s). Three of the records have the same note stating that a code assigned to the find spot is "…for an unknown location or for more than one location", while the forth has one stating that "This is a code for an unknown location near Norwich.." and that, as a result the "…plotted location [is] irrelevant."
E. McDonald (HES), 3 August 2017. Amended by P. Watkins (HES), 1 September 2025.
Before September 2003. Metal-detecting. [1].
Late Iron Age toggle toggle in the form of a baluster moulding. The exact location the findspot is not known but the toggle is thought to have been recovered from somewhere within Norwich.
Information from PAS import.
A. Beckham (HES), 3 September 2014.
