Summary

Metal-detecting at this location between 2010 and 2020 recovered Late Saxon and medieval pottery sherds; Roman and post-medieval coins; a medieval jetton and a number of other, Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Roman cosmetic pestle; a Middle/Late Saxon brooch; a Late Saxon disc brooch and bell; medieval buckles, a belt mount and a copper alloy seal matrix; a medieval/post-medieval chafing dish fragment and part of another copper alloy vessel and a post-medieval buckle, belt or harness mount, crotal bell and lead cloth seal.
