Summary

Metal-detecting between 2010 and 2018 recovered a Late Saxon/medieval pottery sherd; Late Iron Age, Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins, including a hoard of three Late Iron Age coins; a medieval jetton; post-medieval tokens and Late Iron Age to Roman and Middle Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Late Iron Age/Roman brooch; Roman brooches, a cosmetic pestle, nail cleaner and harness mount or strap slide; a Middle Saxon pin and brooch; a Middle/Late Saxon hooked tag and strap end; a medieval harness pendant, brooch, belt mount and seal matrix; a medieval/post-medieval ring, possible hawk bell and copper alloy vessel leg/foot and post-medieval buckles, a spur side, book clasp, harness mount and male or toggle plate from a sword belt clasp.
