Summary

A Neolithic polished axe was recovered as a stray surface find in 2008. Subsequent fieldwalking and metal-detecting between 2010 and 2016 recovered an Early Neolithic leaf-shaped flint arrowhead; a flake from a Neolithic polished flint axehead; an assemblage of Neolithic/Bronze Age flint implements and debitage; an undated sandstone possible whetstone fragment; Iron Age, Roman, Early/Middle Saxon, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds and a number of metal objects, including medieval buckles and a thimble; a medieval/post-medieval purse fragment and buckle and a post-medieval crotal bell.
