Map

June 2010. Building Report.
(S1) A Manorial site, later part of the Norwich Great Hospital/Norwich Corporation estate (and known as City Farm). Until the late 18th century, Manor Farm was located on the edge of the extensive commons of Shropham. It appears on an estate map of 1758. The parliamentary enclosure of Shropham established the present-day Rocklands Road through the former common. The farmhouse and farmbuildings were all rebuilt during the 19th century with the possible exception of a small timber framed granary which appears to date from the late 18th or possibly early 19th century.
From 1809 to 1913 various members of the Mann family leased the estate. For many years the site was the home of the author Mary Mann.
