Full Description
February 2011. Norfolk NMP.
The earthworks of a trackway of possible medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs (S1) to the south of Langmerehill Belt, Brettenham. The site is centred on TG 9109 8308. The trackway is terraced into the valley side just above the River Thet. It is possible that this route forms a continuation of the medieval hollow way recorded to the east (NHER 54565) that also follows the line of the valley. Aerial photographs from 1988 (S2) suggest that these earthworks still survive.
S. Horlock (NMP), 16 February 2011.
