Full Description
August 2010. Watching Brief.
Monitoring of groundworks associated with the Linc Offshore Windfarm cable route onshore section. Works were subject to continuous monitoring at this location due to the proximity of a known Hurricane crash site (NHER 18280).
No archaeological finds or features.

Monitoring of groundworks associated with installation of onshore cable for Race Bank Offshore Wind Farm.
Work at this location was again subject to continuous monitoring due to its proximity to the known Hawker Hurricane crash site (NHER 18280). The only feature recorded was a ditch at TF 5046 1939. This contained fragments of plastic and appears to have coincided with a north-west to south-east aligned drainage feature shown on 19th-century maps.
No finds were recovered during this work.
Intermittent monitoring of the remainder of the scheme had similarly negative results.
